PEERS® Social Skills for Young Adults

PEERS® for Young Adults is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated adults who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or developing romantic relationships.

Group runs for: 16 weeks

Location: Antibes Community Centre, 140 Antibes Dr, North York, M2R 3J3

** Social coach participation is highly recommended**

Social Coaching Group

When: Monday's 6 - 7:30

Cost: $25/week ($400)

Location: Zoom

Young adults and social coaches attend 16-week group sessions for 90-minutes per week. 

Young Adults are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

Social coaches attend separate sessions simultaneously and are taught how to assist young adults in making and keep friends and/or dating.

​Young Adults will learn:

  • Developing and maintaining friendships

  • Conversation skills

  • Entering and exiting conversations

  • Electronic communication

  • Using humour appropriately

  • Organizing get-togethers

  • Dating skills

  • Handling disagreements

  • Handling dating pressure

  • Handling bullying
