Friendship Explorer Club

Unlocking Confidence & Friendships

Our Friendship Explorer Club integrates two evidence-based programs into one fun-filled group program.

UCLA Children Friendship Curriculum:
This curriculum focuses on equipping children with essential social skills. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, participants will learn how to make a positive first impression, foster meaningful conversations, discover common interests, practice fair play, resolve conflicts, handle rejection gracefully, seamlessly join in play, and demonstrate respect for others.

Connects Curriculum: The purp
ose of the Connects Curriculum is to help young people develop psychological flexibility - in other words, the ability to persist in important things they care about, and to change behaviours that are making their life more challenging.

D, N, and A stand for three types of behaviour that are embedded within ourselves and ideally, we can use them to build values (V) (things that are important to us in life).

Discoverer (D) is a skill we teach children to help them broaden their abilities and make social connections. We use discoverer skills to try new things. Noticer (N) helps young people become aware of their bodies, the signals coming in from the world, and their feelings that come and go. Helping kids notice gives them opportunities to learn about their body and how it works. Advisor (A) is simply a metaphor we use for our inner voice, thoughts, or self-talk.

In our Friendship Explorers Club, children will embark on a transformative journey to build lasting friendships, develop emotional regulation skills, and unlock their full potential.

Join us today and empower your child for a brighter future!

Learn more about our After-School Program and if it will be the right fit for you.

The Friendship Explorers Club is designed to benefit elementary school children who may be facing challenges in the areas of social interaction, emotional regulation, and friendship development.

This program is particularly beneficial for:

  • Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): The program can provide valuable support to children with ASD who may struggle with social skills and emotional regulation.

  • Children with Social Difficulties: Any child experiencing difficulties in making friends, engaging in social interactions, or managing strong emotions can benefit from this program.

  • Children with Emotional Challenges: Those facing emotional challenges, such as anxiety, anger, or frustration, can learn strategies to better manage their emotions.

  • Parents and Caregivers: Parents and caregivers can also benefit from the program by gaining insights and strategies to support their children in these areas.

By providing a supportive and structured environment, this program aims to empower children with essential life skills, helping them develop strong friendships and improved emotional well-being.
