Group Programs
Progressive Steps group programs use evidence-based interventions to teach skills in a safe & supportive environment and are supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst.
Unless other specified, all of our group are held at the Progressive Life Centre in Ajax, ON

This program is designed to helps teens enhance their executive functioning skills through engaging activities, followed by unstructured gaming time to practice and reinforce these skills. We also offer optional parent training sessions at an additional cost.

When: Mondays from 6:30 - 8pm
Runs For: 16 weeks
Ages: 12 - 17

This program teaches teens essential skills for safely cooking and preparing meals, fostering independence and confidence in the kitchen. Participants will learn about kitchen safety, meal planning, and basic cooking techniques through hands-on activities and guided instruction.

Runs For: 12 weeks
Ages: 12 - 17
Prerequisite: Completion of PEERS for Adolescents
This small group program is designed to teach teens how to safely and effectively use gym equipment while learning proper gym etiquette. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, participants will become familiar with various types of gym equipment and learn the basics of a balanced workout routine.

Fit Girls: Wednesdays from 6 - 7pm (Girls Group)
Runs For: 12 weeks
Ages: 11 - 17
Learn to enhance social play, navigate social interactions, and develop valuable classroom and group skills through the Socially Savvy Curriculum.

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30pm

Runs For: 16 weeks
Ages: 6 - 11
This exclusive group for girls focuses on helping participants identify their unique strengths and celebrate their individuality. Through interactive activities and discussions, girls will gain insights into their relationships and explore their personal goals and aspirations. Parent training sessions are also available for an additional fee.

This engaging group helps participants explore career interests, develop job-seeking skills, and learn strategies for maintaining employment.

Ages: 15 - 18
This evidence-based group focuses on teaching essential social skills needed to build and sustain meaningful friendships. Participants will engage in structured activities designed to enhance their social interactions, followed by dedicated gaming time to practice and apply these skills in a fun, interactive environment. Parent training sessions are also available at an additional cost.

Runs For: 16 weeks
Ages: 11 - 17
This evidence-based program helps teens develop crucial social, community, and transit skills through engaging community outings. Participants will have hands-on experiences to practice and refine their abilities in real-world settings. A minimum registration of 4 weeks is required.
