Social Saturdays

Skills for Life, Adventures in the Community.

Social Saturdays is an evidence-based, community-based social skills program that provides teens with opportunities to build meaningful friendships while practising social, communication, and independence skills in real-world settings. Guided by experienced clinicians, participants participate in a variety of fun community outings and activities designed to promote confidence, inclusion, and social success.

Rather than learning social skills in a classroom alone, participants actively practise conversations, teamwork, problem-solving, and navigating community environments alongside their peers. Activities vary throughout the year and may include restaurants, recreation, shopping, local events, and other community experiences.

Program Requirements:
Minimum 4-week registration
Completion of the PEERS® for Adolescents program is required before enrolment
