Home Alone Safety Skills
Building the skills, confidence, and independence to stay safe at home.
In a fun, hands-on group setting, participants learn the practical safety skills they need to feel confident and prepared when spending time at home on their own. With individualized support from our clinicians, participants learn what to do when they arrive home, answer the door or phone, handle an emergency, and give basic first aid, all broken into clear, manageable steps.
Throughout the program, participants practise each skill through modeling, role-play, and real-life scenarios, building confidence in a supportive, encouraging environment. Weekly take-home activities help families keep practising at home. This program builds safety awareness, independence, and life skills that extend well beyond the group.
