Behaviour Therapist
Jannatul is a behaviour therapist working with Progressive Steps Training and Consultation Inc. As a health care professional, she has a deep understanding of developmental disorders, therapy techniques and social milestones. She works directly with individuals who have ASD and developmental disorders using ABA strategies at home and community settings. Jannatul identifies the strengths, interests, and abilities of the students where they feel free to express themselves and enjoy learning new things.
Jannatul is dedicated to serving individuals with special needs and behavioral issues with utmost respect and consideration. She has a deep passion to help guide students with unique needs to their full potential.

In her leisure time, Jannatul enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, reading books, cooking new recipes, and also love to explore the beauty of nature.
Experience
-
4+ years of experience in providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities including ASD, and ADHD 1:1, in family homes, group homes, shelters, community and hospital settings

Experience implementing trauma-informed treatment of aggression and self-injury in community and home based settings
-
Experience with supporting clients with daily living skills, academics, language skills, learning and learning readiness skills, and monitoring progress

Experience with de-escalation and implementing crisis intervention when necessary

Personal support worker for people with developmental disabilities

Experience working in a daycare settings with pre-school children
-
Participate in the assessment of and treatment of severe challenging behaviour including practical functional analysis and skill-based treatment.
